Hex Bar / Trapbar 50 mm
A Hex Bar is a special type of barbell and, unlike the conventional version, features six corners (hexagon). The Trapbar was originally developed for Strongman competitions to allow the lifting of particularly heavy weights. When performing exercises with a Trap Bar, the strain on the spine and joints is minimized. In principle, any exercise can be performed with a Hexbar, just like with a normal barbell . However, the major advantage of a Trap Bar is the more even weight distribution. This allows the trainee to stand in the center of the bar and thus exactly over the center of gravity. This enables better distribution across the various muscle groups and thus an increase in force production.
Training with the Trapbar 50 mm
More strength means a greater stimulus, which in turn results in increased muscle growth. This entire effect is facilitated by the natural hand position. While the wrists must be turned inward with a standard barbell, you can naturally reach down with a Trap Bar. Inward rotation often leads to long-term injuries and increased joint wear. Some of the most popular exercises with a Hexbar include deadlifts and the farmer's walk. The latter is otherwise preferably performed with dumbbells. However, in this case, you can usually only increase the weight in 2 kg increments per side. In contrast, when training with a Trap Bar, the weight can be increased in any increment.
You train with bumper plates and your sleeves are not long enough? Then we have just the right thing for you - our ATX® Hex Bar XL with extra-long weight plate sleeves. In addition to the Hex Bar with a 50 mm sleeve, we also have a Hex Bar 30 mm / Trap Bar 30 mm on sale. Buy your Trapbar at motion sports, experience the quality for yourself, and start your training.
